Well would you look at that! We are on the back of the Mason Spirit Summer 2014 Magazine! “The third annual campus TEDx conference, TEDxGeorgeMasonU 2014, was held this year at the Hylton Performing Arts Center on the Prince William Campus and featured some of the ‘most compelling and thought-provoking movers and shakers within the Mason community and beyond,’ according to the program’s producers. Organized and produce by Mason recent alumni and students, TEDx is an independently organized event based on the international TED conferences 18-minute talks – and is one of the hottest tickets on campus.”

What is TEDx? In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxGeorgeMasonU, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxGeorgeMasonU event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
